Reduce risk. Maximize value. Accelerate progress.

From setting a target to answering a customer's audit, Meridian covers the full renewable energy workflow.

The Meridian dashboard with energy usage and PPA monitoring views

Centralize EAC data for claims you can defend

Demand and supply in one system of record, matched to the standard you report against, with a chain of custody from import to retirement — so a customer request or an audit is an export, not a project.

Maximize value from your portfolio

Wholesale market and EAC price intelligence, forward-looking PPA performance, managed procurement, and shortfall and excess management for confident, lower-cost decisions.

Track progress without the spreadsheet upkeep

Monitor annual and monthly progress toward scope 2 targets and supplier renewable energy adoption — the work your spreadsheets do today, without the re-keying.

Inside Meridian

Complete visibility into global renewable energy coverage.

Move from country-level to facility-level data in a few clicks. The same maps your team works in, running on a sample portfolio. Switch views, or let them rotate.

Scope 2 allocation

Apply EACs to locations and watch the gap close.

Draw from a pool of available EACs to cover each location, or let Meridian allocate the remainder. Nothing is allocated past a location's demand, so you never double count.

Grounded, governed AI

An assistant that analyzes your spreadsheets and knows your portfolio.

Meridian Agent

Ask in plain language. The agent answers from your data.

Hand the agent the work that fills your team's week: it works from your portfolio data and the country knowledge the 3Degrees advisory team maintains, finds the most cost-effective way to close each gap, and prepares the next step for your team to approve. It never buys, retires, or changes an attribution on its own.

Closing it needs about 29,000 MWh. I can fill it from in-market Guarantees of Origin that match your additionality preference, then hand you a draft cart to review.

AI-assisted import

Drop in a spreadsheet. Meridian maps the columns.

Upload a CSV, Excel, PDF, or image. The importer detects which columns are location, energy, dates, and units, then applies that mapping across every row, with a review step before anything lands.

  • Reads spreadsheets, PDFs, and images
  • Auto-detects columns, units, and date formats
  • Confirm the mapping; no manual re-keying

Or connect your systems

Manual upload is the floor, not the ceiling. Meridian references the major registries, supports single sign-on, and connects to the systems you run through its API.

Rules, markets, and supply

Match to your framework, know every market, buy what is missing.

Set the matching rules once, see what each market offers before you buy, and close gaps without leaving the system of record.

Match to the rules your framework requires

Pick the framework you align with — RE100 or the GHG Protocol market-based method — and Meridian sets the vintage, technology, market-boundary, and certification rules. Market facts set the floor; you can only tighten from there.

Buy what you are still missing

The people behind it

Software in front. A bench of market experts behind it.

The software runs the day-to-day on its own — import, matching, and reporting don't wait on anyone. What stays human is judgment: the teams that source, negotiate, and deliver renewable energy for some of the world's largest companies. When a question needs a person, there is one whose job is the answer — in the market your question is about.

Advisory

Strategy, country guidance, and framework expertise across 100+ markets — the team that maintains the knowledge Meridian runs on.

Trading desk

A 9-time Environmental Finance award-winning desk that sources and delivers the certificates and PPAs your portfolio depends on.

Market intelligence

A market intelligence and policy team tracks the regulatory landscape as it moves, so your program is informed before the rules change under it.

We've done 12 gigawatts of PPA transactions and 171 transactions as an advisor in 20 countries. Our work on Scope 2 has taken us into 108 different countries around the world and extends to our work on transferable tax credits and other kinds of renewable options.

The 3Degrees difference

Software-only tools stop at the dashboard. Meridian is run by the team that sources, trades, and settles the certificates and PPAs behind your claims — down to the PPA invoice line — with a wholesale desk and advisory bench behind every account, and pricing errors caught before they compound.

Frequently asked questions

What teams ask before they bring Meridian into their program.

Security and data

Yes. 3Degrees maintains SOC 2 controls. Current reports and security detail are available in the Trust Center.

You do. Your demand, contracts, and attribution data remain yours and are available for export.

Reporting and standards

Attribution workflows track vintage, market, and retirement so a given MWh is claimed once, with an audit trail behind it.

Meridian produces the market-based scope 2 and supplier scope 3 attribution evidence — tracked by market, vintage, and retirement — that teams use to support disclosures like CDP, RE100, SBTi, and CSRD. CDP and RE100 disclosure exports are available today; CSRD/ESRS E1 and SBTi-progress exports are on the roadmap. Until then, the underlying evidence exports as structured data your reporting team and auditor can work from.

Demand, supply, and every allocation live in one system of record with a chain of custody from import to retirement, so the evidence behind a claim is an export rather than a quarter-end reconstruction. CDP and RE100 disclosure exports are available today; CSRD/ESRS E1 and SBTi progress exports are on the roadmap.

Onboarding and support

AI-assisted import maps your existing demand and contracts so your team confirms rather than retypes. Portfolio Builder and Enterprise include a dedicated representative to help you onboard.

Portfolio Builder includes a dedicated support representative. Enterprise adds a full advisory and trading team.

More than 100 markets, with country-level renewable energy guidance and registry support across RECs, GOs, I-RECs, and more.

No. Meridian runs your whole renewable energy portfolio, whatever the source. Bring the certificates and PPAs you already hold and it reconciles them in one operating view. When you do go to market, the wholesale desk gives enterprise programs transparent, negotiated pricing across registries and suppliers. The marketplace and advisory team are there when you want them, never a requirement.

Yes. Meridian replaces the spreadsheet process — import maps your files, matching runs against your rules, and reporting is an export. Most programs run with the team they already have, with the 3Degrees account and advisory teams behind them for the parts that need a specialist.

Meridian shows the gap by market, vintage, and rule before it becomes a reporting problem. Shortfalls route to the marketplace or the wholesale desk; excess certificates stay in inventory, visible and allocatable where your rules allow — so you neither over-buy nor scramble at year end.
