Pizza Fusion, Saving the Earth One Pizza at a Time
RECs from 3Degrees Offset 100% of Energy Use
Pizza Fusion, in partnership with 3Degrees, is taking huge steps to
reduce their environmental impact. Pizza Fusion is purchasing RECs to
offset 100% of the energy used in their Ft. Lauderdale, FL
headquarters as well as each of their other locations.
Pizza Fusion founders Vaughan Lazar and Michael Gordan were recently
named one of the top 15 Green Business Founders by Grist Magazine.
Beyond purchasing RECs for their own offices and stores, Pizza Fusion
is requiring each new franchise to purchase RECs and is in the process
of setting up programs for their customers and supply chain to
purchase as well.
In addition to their renewable energy commitment, Pizza Fusion stores
are built according to LEED standards, they use only organic
ingredients, and their customers are encouraged to return their pizza
boxes for recycling, giving credence to their motto: "Saving the
