Warner Brothers Offsets Footprint of "Observe and Report" with 3Degrees

Continues practice of green filmmaking

Warner Bros. has incorporated sustainability practices into its film sets for years. For “Observe and Report,” it worked with 3Degrees to create a carbon calculator tool to measure the carbon footprint generated during production (the total was 719 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent).

The company bought renewable energy credits and verified emission reductions from 3Degrees to create a carbon neutral production.

Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico, where Observe and Report was filmed, has commended Warner Bros. Pictures for its green initiatives on the film, "Observe and Report".

Crew members, including the producer, executive producer, production supervisor, transportation coordinator and gaffer used five hybrid vehicles for transportation. And some set lighting was put on dimmers to prevent the constant turning on and off, which reduced energy usage.

The film’s production office used compact fluorescent bulbs and Energy Star-rated appliances and computers.
