Jay McCall

Director, Origination and Trading

Jay leads 3Degrees' role in providing financial incentives for the development of new renewable energy projects throughout the United States and Canada.

Based in San Francisco, Jay joined the company in 2005 to further expand and manage its portfolio of Renewable Energy Certificates. Presently, he manages 3Degrees' entire U.S. Renewables origination and trading market operations, including renewable energy generated Verified Emission Reductions.The portfolio includes over two hundred projects in both voluntary and compliance markets.

In his role as Director of Origination and Trading, Jay oversees the origination of new domestic renewable resources; wholesale trading operations; contract negotiation, management, and fulfillment; and long-term renewables strategy and investment. Jay also informs portfolio and corporate risk management along with broader corporate strategy.

Jay previously worked as an analyst in the Wholesale Power group of the Energy Markets Practice of with ICF International performing economic and technical analysis of the supply-side of the electricity sector in nearly every electricity market in the U.S. and Canada. A native of Virginia, Jay graduated with Honors from the University of North Carolina with a BA in Global Economics, Trade and Environment and a Minor in Environmental Science and Studies.
