Dan Heffernan

Operations Associate

Based in San Francisco, Dan joined 3Degrees in February 2008. Dan is responsible for the information technology needs of the company, as well as streamlining operations between and within departments. While ensuring a smoothly-functioning IT environment for local and remote offices, he will spend his first several months in a series of short-term “internships” with the various departments, beginning with Account Management.

Prior to 3Degrees, Dan’s diverse resume includes paralegal work with a real estate law firm, copyediting for a Natural Products Company in Paris, France, and USGS predator ecology research in the Marin Headlands, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. He has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies and Economics from University of California at Santa Cruz and an MS in Fishery and Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University at Fort Collins.

Dan soaks up San Francisco culture and outdoors opportunities, travels to Latin America whenever possible and is a political news junkie.
