Jamie Gilpin

Director, Finance & Operations

Based in San Francisco, Jamie leads all functions that support the customer and client facing departments of 3Degrees. As Director of Finance and Operations his responsibilities include managing the Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations and IT functions of the company. He takes great pride in ensuring that all 3Degrees employees are given the tools and information needed to properly serve customers, clients, and stakeholders.

Over the thirteen years of his professional career at firms such as Deloitte and LECG, Jamie has audited or investigated some of the largest energy companies in the United States. He has accumulated expertise in financial auditing, data analysis, computer forensics, and forensic accounting. These experiences have allowed Jamie to provide and implement strategic planning and policy development as it pertains to the finance and accounting aspects of the company. With this perspective, he has led 3Degrees through their first financial audit, a complete reconstruction of revenue recognition and inventory procedures, a thorough revamping of HR and payroll processes, and has generally improved the financial management and accounting aspects of the company.

Jamie is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from University of North Carolina - Charlotte with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. He also has an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis where he was awarded by the faculty the Professional Achievement Award for Integrity, Loyalty, Intelligence and High Moral Character. In graduate school he developed a passion for renewable energy, which led him to 3Degrees.

Jamie and his wife both race bikes and met in the French Alps in 2004 while following the Tour de France.
